The brain is enormously complex and we all store and process information in our own, unique ways. For this reason, it is difficult to understand the health of one’s brain by comparison with others. The best approach is to objectively compare your capabilities at one point in time to your capabilities at a later point in time in order to note any changes. For example, having poor memory skills does not indicate the presence of a disease. However, if your memory declines over time from good to poor, then that may be a sign of some underlying condition that your physician should diagnose and treat.

The OCVA Program is offering community residents an opportunity to have their memory assessed* with the MCI Screen, a highly accurate, computer aided assessment technology.
